Established in 2001, Essence of Iron has continued to grow and provide distinctive workmanship. Our factory is situated in Montague Gardens, Cape Town.

Custom-made creations to a design of your choice, and together with a team of highly experienced ironmongers, we are able to design and manufacture extruded or wrought iron metal work to order in a variety of finishes such as our unique “antique silver”, natural rust, or matt black amongst a few, for interior and exterior use. We are also manufacturers of stainless steel products.

Whatever the design, we are able to supply door, window, pedestrian or driveway gates, shutter hinges and shutter flaps, together with traditional Provence gate latches and various other door pull handles, designed or modified to suit your taste.

The art of stairwell balustrade and verandah railings has been perfected by our team. Whether interior or exterior, whatever the style of the establishment, we will endeavour to design, manufacture, and install a unique creation.

Give us a design and we'll make any item within our range of expertise. These could include curtain rails, braai grids, coat hooks, hat stands, headboards, flower trellises, chandeliers amongst many other products.
